The Polish national team, defending champion from 2022, will play its first match on September 13 against Romania. The championships are now held every two years instead of every four, allowing fans to enjoy the highest level of volleyball more often.

For the first time in history, 32 teams will compete in the championship, which is an increase from 24 to 32 participants. The matches will be played in two venues: Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

The 2025 Men's Volleyball World Championships will begin on September 12 and last until September 28. The tournament will be held in the Philippines and hosted by Manila.
